A popular misconception is that you can just slap together a slick website and optimize for search engines and then watch visitors flock to you with advertising dollars following soon thereafter. After you have had some success with network marketing and have built up your network to a relatively large size, you should host events to share your experiences with newer members of your network. Your experiences can provide the newer members with strategies they may not have thought of, and also help in avoiding mistakes that you might have made along the way. Once you have had a large amount of success, you can then consider the possibility of hosting paid training sessions for the entire network.

Removing people from your network who aren't earning money makes you look good. It shows that you're paying attention, which will lead people to both work harder, so as not to be kicked out, but also so that you can see what they're doing and praise them for their achievements. People LOVE being told they're doing a great job!

A new network marketing opportunity will always be more lucrative than a long-standing one, but the older one will be more stable and likely to stick around. You have to judge each opportunity as it comes along on whether or not it's financially viable, and what it's current reputation is, before you decide to join.

A network marketing website must catch the reader's attention in the first three seconds or they'll leave. You need to give them a compelling reason to stick around, so figure out why they're there and answer their questions immediately. Most people will show up because they want to earn money, so tell them how you are doing it successfully and they'll want to know more.

To make sure you get the most out of the time you spend network marketing, look at how much income the various activities you do produce. If you spend a lot of time on social media, but aren't seeing much profit from that, it's better to focus your energies elsewhere. Try to complete your most profitable activities first thing in the morning.

Put your network marketing material EVERYWHERE! At your local church, in their newsletter, in a community newsletter, on forums, on Craigslist, even at the local supermarket on their community corkboard. The more eyes that see your promotional information, the more sign-ups you're likely to get. Make sure you're only posting it in places that are likely to get the right kind of people reading it, though. For example, a school probably isn't the best place to post an ad.

When recruiting potential contacts for your network, avoid using "I" or "me". Focus instead on the word "you". You want your contact to feel that they are the focus of the conversation, not you. It's all well and good to tell a client what you have achieved through network marketing, but you want them focused on what they could achieve.

Post your photo on your network marketing website to add to your credibility. I'd highly recommend having a professional shot taken, but don't make it look too serious or too friendly. A moving shot of you laughing could make you seem unreliable and goofy, but a shot of you without a smile will make you look rigid and cold. Try to get a photo that makes you look approachable and trustworthy.

Realize that relationship marketing can be a key to success in building your business. You may be able to generate potential customers. However, not knowing what that customer needs will never lead you to conversion. Understand their needs in order to assist them in a way that will create a buyer through trusted knowledge.
