Stupidity is not to be measured by grades nor academic success. There is no such thing as stupidity. Only hard work and educators. As a teacher, you should understand your role. It is not your place to complain about the incompetence of your pupil. What results they displayed on exam affirms only your teaching ability. This is not something that rates on how brilliant you are with your academic but how well you been able to connect to them.

Students are unique. They have their own weakness and approach. In your eyes, you can generalize them as an equal however that might not be the case. Right now, they might be too fragile. Too sensitive and too confident. You must understand it and know how to used it to their advantage. The uniqueness of individuals. They have different brilliance and weakness. It is your place to make them realize it and fill their holes. This is not a spoon filled learning however as a teacher, you always have the authority, for them to follow you. You need not be cruel just to impose discipline. Since you have known what kind of person they are, surely you will know too, how to handle them on their best.

Designing a more appropriate learning practice. Most students do not give any care for lectures and discussions. Some teachers try to impose negative and positive reinforcement. However, there are times that it will not work due to the differences of ability and traits. Hence, you should need to study them and designed a special module for these individual without them realizing it.

Changing your techniques and approach. Now that you know what are their weakness and talent, you should design an appropriate approach for them to realize it. There are many ways how to do it. Some teachers always follow the negative and positive reinforcement. However, now that you understand them, that surely will backfire. Hence, find a way to get closer to them and make connections.

Evaluations. Every week or after exams, you can affirm the effectiveness of your teaching once they undergo some changes. You will notice it in their way of interaction to one another. If they stayed the same, then you need to find another approach. You surely had missed something along the way.

Behavior and personal problems can greatly affect their performance. That is why it should be mended first. It does not necessarily mean that you need to change them. As long as they will gain a strength to move forward, as an educator, it is the only gift you can provide.
