We live in a time where every company, every business or organization needs to have on-line presence to expand and be successful. With this, a lot of tools and programs have been created to help anyone have a website.

Many people might think is an easy thing to do, but the truth is it requires a lot of thinking and planning if you want to impress someone. Below some common mistakes you should avoid if you are creating your own page.

Not optimizing content - This is a common mistake and it causes a lot of trouble; content that is not optimized will not load successfully and people will leave your page. No one wants to spend a lot of time waiting for a site to load.

Images - Many people think that because they have a little experience in graphic design is better to build a website with images and layers. When you do this there are always problems when loading the page, this happens especially when the images are not optimized.

Links - Make sure everything is working correctly; if you have a link, it has to work. This is crucial because a page that has things that don't work gives a terrible impression.

Create a website and think is forever - When you design a page, you have to think is like a shop window; it needs to change periodically, you have to include new sections, change images and improve content.

Text - Please don't inundate your site with text; this doesn't look good and will bore everyone. Content is important and relevant, you have to provide useful information, just don't exaggerate.

Your website is the image of your company to the rest of the world; it has to be perfect. If you are not a web design professional you probably will make mistakes and those mistakes will reflect in your traffic and sales.
